Os presento un estudio llamado Instant Hutong, formado por Marcella Campa & Stefano Avesani y afincado en Beijing desde 2005. El subtítulo de su estudio es «Microurbanism interactions», que describe lo que es su trabajo, consiste precisamente en eso: pequeñas intervenciones (pequeñas por aparentemente sencillas) en espacios urbanos muy seleccionados.

El trabajo «Theory of moments» me parece especialmente destacable:

(On-going project). Temporary site specific installations in empty spaces and abandoned courtyards in XianYuKou district in Beijing. The neighbourhood is under threat of demolition and people are expected to leave it. In this situation of uncertainty for many of the local inhabitants, the project works through different approaches and media. Graphics patterns to decorate the public walls, redefinition of public spaces using existing materials founded on site, insertions of little elements to be used as playground, interactive installations with colours and sounds will define a series of “moments” rich of meaning in which to intensify the vital productivity of everydayness, according to the definition by Henri Lefebvre (Theory of Moments in “La Somme et le Reste”, 1959).

Mike Hewson es un dibujante, pintor y fotógrafo neozelandés.

Inicialmente interesado en las relaciones entre los colores y sus efectos bajo la luz o las sombras, actualmente está más preocupado por la interpretación del espacio que nos rodea. Actualmente investiga el uso del espacio negativo, y la forma en que interpretamos los espacios, su trabajo está muy ligado al lugar en que es creado. Destacamos especialmente la obra «Homenaje a los espacios perdidos», itnervención sobre una edificación a punto de ser demolida, que crea unas ilusiones ópticas que hacen desvanecerse en ocasiones el edificio, o interpretarlo de forma muy diferente a como lo haríamos sin los paneles que ocupan las fachadas. Un interesante ejercicio de escalas y perspectivas.
